It is the most recent addition to the Mint’s Music Legends lineup, which also includes Queen, Sir Elton John, and David Bowie.
The new collectible coin, created by sculptor and artist Sandra Deiana, features an etching of the Faith refrain along with a photo of Michael sporting his signature sunglasses. A few of the coins have the colors red and black on them.
Rebecca Morgan, the Royal Mint’s director of collector services, stated: “George Michael is a worldwide phenomenon whose music and distinctive style have inspired and impacted generations, from his beginnings with Wham! to becoming one of the bestselling solo singers of all time.
