Following a confrontation with demonstrators outside the Tbilisi parliament, security personnel left the city’s central plaza early on Monday.
Protesters are against a contentious bill that has been dubbed “Russian law” by those who oppose it.
Tuesday is the day for the bill’s final vote.
Legislators from the ruling Georgian Dream party hurried it through a committee vote on Monday morning, passing it in just 67 seconds.
The law, which is currently scheduled for its third and final reading, is directed at independent media outlets and civil society organizations that receive funds from overseas.
