In a Facebook post on Sunday, the German Embassy in Pakistan announced that it will close on Monday (today) because the area in Islamabad was closed.
“The German Embassy in Islamabad’s visa section will remain closed on Monday, November 25 due to the closure of the Islamabad area,” the statement stated.
The candidates were encouraged to visit the embassy for their scheduled appointment. It stated, “Appointments have been rescheduled.”
In a post on X, German Ambassador Alfred Grannas made the same statement. He informed the candidates that their appointment would be rescheduled and asked them not to show up.
To stop the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from marching to the capital, the Islamabad police have blocked a number of the city’s roadways, including numerous routes of entry and departure.
