After four years, Taylor resigned as T20 captain in June of last year, and Miles Hammond assumed the position.
For a third season, Graeme van Buuren will lead the team in the County Championship.
Head coach Mark Alleyne stated, “Both have prior experience in these roles and have convinced me that they have the desire to continue.”
“It’s important we have some stability within the leadership group, especially with so many changes to the support coaching group.”
In December, 32-year-old Taylor agreed to a new contract with Gloucestershire that would keep him with the team through the end of the 2026 campaign.
In 2020, his first year as captain, he led the team to Finals Day and was named man of the match when they won the 2015 One-Day Cup final.
“There’s a great feel amongst the camp after a successful tour to South Africa,” Taylor stated.
“We have some great options across the squad to compete in both the T20 and 50-over competitions, along with the overseas additions.”
