Due to an uptick in worldwide rates, gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Tuesday following a string of straight decreases.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,300, to Rs261,700.
The price of 10-gram gold also saw a significant increase, rising by Rs1,114 to settle at Rs224,365, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The hike comes after the price of gold fell on Monday, with the per-tola rate closing at Rs260,400, down Rs1,100.
Local pricing are rising in line with worldwide trends. According to the APGJSA, the price of gold increased by $10 throughout the trading day to $2,500 per ounce on the international market, with an additional $20 premium.
