According to data issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday, ending a nearly weeklong losing skid, as the safe-haven commodity recovered in global markets on a weak dollar.
While 10-gramme rates jumped by Rs1,286 to Rs258,487, the price of gold per tola (11.7 grammes) rose by Rs1,500 to Rs301,500. According to the organization of dealers, the price of silver increased by Rs. 26 to settle at Rs. 2,803 per 10 grammes and by Rs. 30 to reach Rs. 3,270 per tola.
The docile dollar and fresh buying spurred by worries about tariff policy helped bullion rebound on Monday after plunging more than three weeks earlier in the session.
