Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Tuesday, while the prices of precious metals fell throughout global markets, following a notable increase in the previous two days.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs700 a tola in the local market, reaching Rs275,000 (APGJSA).
In a similar vein, the cost of ten-gram 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 600 as well, to Rs235,768.
Gold prices declined by $6 during the day on a global scale as well. The international gold price was $2,653 per ounce, as reported by the APGJSA.
The price of silver held steady at Rs3,050 per tola in spite of the increase in the price of gold.
