The government raised the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs5 per litre on Tuesday but said that the price of gasoline would stay the same for the next two weeks.
The price of gasoline will remain at Rs247.03 per litre for the next fifteen days, while the price of HSD will be Rs251.29 per liter. October 16, 2024 is when these new rates will go into effect.
According to earlier estimates, the government may raise the price of gasoline by Rs5.5 and diesel by up to Rs13 per liter.
According to a Finance Division statement, the government cut the price of gasoline by Rs2.07 during the most recent review, making it Rs247.03 per litre, and the price of HSD by Rs3.40, making it Rs246.29 per litre.
