The government of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday announced a significant cut in the price of gasoline and diesel starting on October 1 and lasting for the next two weeks, providing much-needed respite to the masses affected by inflation.
A statement from the Finance Ministry states that the price of gasoline has decreased by Rs. 2.7 per litre and the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has decreased by Rs. 3.40 per litre.

The revised pricing for high-speed diesel is Rs246.29 per litre, while the price of gasoline is now Rs247.03 per liter.
Additionally, the government declared that the price of kerosene oil would be reduced by Rs3.57 per liter, to Rs154.90 per litre.
