KARACHI: The Sindh government announced revised office hours on Friday in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to begin on Tuesday, March 12.
The province government’s services, general, administration, and coordination department issued a statement today announcing the new office hours.
During Ramadan, government offices will operate on five to six days per week, according on their allotted working days.
In offices that operate five days a week, the hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
Meanwhile, during the fasting month, the timings would be 10am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and 10am to 1pm on Friday, in those offices that operate six days a week.
“The [new] office timings will be applicable to all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh, except essential services,” the statement went on to say.
