ISLAMABAD: The current government’s top goals, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday, are institutional changes, austerity, domestic and foreign investment, and the privatization of state-owned businesses that are losing money.
Speaking with a delegation from the Pakistan Broadcasters Association was the prime minister.
The prime minister announced during the meeting that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will be fully digitalized with the help of foreign specialists. She also stated that the government would appropriately honor the nation’s best exporters, taxpayers, and female entrepreneurs.
He declared that the media was the fourth pillar of the state and that electronic media played a crucial part in the advancement of society as well as the mental and intellectual growth of individuals.
He stressed that all reasonable measures were being taken because the government supported media and speech freedoms.
He went on to say that preventing false news was a major concern and that the mainstream media had a critical role in doing so.
He expressed optimism that the media would provide unbiased reporting in order to fulfill its responsibility to uphold democracy. According to the PM, it is the state’s duty to safeguard media personnel.
