Tuesday at Agriculture House, Punjab’s chief minister presided over a review meeting concerning the green tractor program, which is overseen by provincial agriculture minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani.
The minister stated that the chief minister of Punjab was ordering the implementation of a green tractor program for farmers. He said that small, medium, and large tractors would be given to farmers on a subsidised basis under the initiative. He stated that the “green tractor scheme” will run for a full year. He explained that if the mechanized system was not executed correctly, the entire program would be meaningless and that it would be mechanized up until the point of delivering tractors to the farmers. The tractor will have a “green” tint and be part of the Chief Minister Punjab Tractor Scheme.
