According to the Pakistani government, development projects in Balochistan have advanced significantly; 43 of the 57 national-level projects are now in progress. These programs include a number of industries, including infrastructure, employment, healthcare, and education.
These projects’ salient qualities include paying royalties to locals for eighty percent of the jobs and executing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in several sectors.
In the field of education, new facilities are being constructed, grants are given out, and teaching jobs are being established. For example, 3,937 teaching positions, 4,315 scholarships, and 3 new schools have all been established in Chamalang.
The development of medical facilities, hospital renovations, and the availability of ambulance services are examples of healthcare improvements. Along with water filtration plants, a medical complex and boys hostel are being constructed in Duki.
The main goals of infrastructure development include electricity projects, water supply plans, and road building. Saindak is witnessing major initiatives related to energy and water.
Thousands of jobs are being produced in a variety of areas, with job creation being a primary priority. By 2028, 5,000 jobs are projected to be created by the Reko Diq project alone.
Other noteworthy projects are the trauma center and 263 scholarships offered by OGDCL in Jhal Magsi, and the 3,000 students enrolled in PPL’s technical education program and hospital renovations.
