At Governor House in Lahore today, Ayesha Hamid was sworn in as the Ombudsman for Punjab by Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, the governor of Punjab. The first woman to serve as Punjab’s Ombudsman is Ayesha Hamid. Rafafat Ali Niswana, Secretary of Implementation and Coordination, announced Ombudsman Punjab’s appointment.
Former provincial ombudsman, captain (retd) Saqib Zafar, chairman of NHA Shahryar Sultan, Jahanzeb Khan, former governor of Punjab Shahid Hamid, former federal minister Zahid Hamid, principal secretary to governor of Punjab Shahid Hamid, and others were present at the occasion.
In the meantime, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan of Punjab was the Chief Guest at the IT Symposium held at Governor House Lahore. The Institute of Vision and Leadership, Tech Titans Pakistan, and Dr. Jahangir Badar worked together to organize the event.
