Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah announced on Tuesday that the government’s negotiation committee had established a subcommittee to address the demands of the opposition party’s charter, amid a seven-day ultimatum from imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to resume talks with the government.
After attending a meeting of the government’s negotiation committee earlier today at his office, which was chaired by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Sanaullah made the statement.
The PM’s adviser informed reporters at the lower house that the subcommittee was examining the demands of the former ruling party and that “we will give the government’s response to the opposition in the next meeting.”
