Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Senator Kamran Murtaza stated on Wednesday that all disagreements between his party and the government have been settled and that the authorities will probably notify the madrassa registration bill “in the next two days” as the controversy surrounding the Societies Registration (Amendment) Bill 2024 came to an end earlier this month.
According to the JUI-F senator, “a gazette notification of the madrasa registration act passed in light of the 26th Constitutional Amendment is likely to be issued in the next two days,” the news outlet reported.
His remarks come after the government allegedly “accepted all demands of the Ittehad Tanzeemat-e-Madaris Deenia (ITMD)” on the controversial madrassa registration bill after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and JUI-F president Maulana Fazlur Rehman met.
