ISLAMABAD: Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), believes that the only way to settle political disputes is via conversation. He is working to resume negotiations with the government.
The PTI leader claimed in an interview with The News on Sunday that while using a gentle tone was a good way to try to get results, it wasn’t working for them.
“At present, the doors of negotiations are closed, and the other party has terminated them [the talks]. Despite this, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has maintained the committee. Nevertheless, the government has not sent us any message, not even a WhatsApp message,” he said.
