“Surreal” is how one graduate who won a major film prize characterized the victory.
After coming to the UK from Germany, Franz Böhm attended the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
Rock, Paper, Scissors, his short about the conflict in Ukraine, was awarded a BAFTA for Best British Short.
“Being part of the BAFTA ceremony is already such a dream, and then when we had the enormous honor and pleasure of winning the award, that was absolutely surreal,” he stated.
“The atmosphere was incredible, and getting welcomed to the victors’ bar was crazy. I made an effort to remain composed, had wonderful people talk to me, and pretended that everything was fine.
