The host has 13 years of broadcast experience; she worked for Radio 2 for ten of those years before moving on to Virgin Radio.
The 60-year-old Irish broadcaster left his Saturday morning show on news Radio 2 to join the station in 2021.
After 13 years of radio hosting, Norton shocked his listeners on Saturday morning by declaring he wanted his “weekends back”.
“Now the show isn’t quite the normal show today because I have a bit of an announcement to make – I’m leaving weekends here at Virgin Radio,” he stated.
Not giving up on Virgin completely, the chat show host stated, “I’ll still be kind of popping up on the station from time to time but my regular Saturday and Sundays, I’m stepping away.”
“I simply want my weekends back,” he continued. “I’ve worked weekends between here and the old location for 13 years, and my life has changed a little.
