The business, which is most recognized for its steak bakes and sausage rolls, announced the changes along with a spike in sales and profits for the previous year.
According to Greggs, increased food delivery volumes, robust breakfast demand, and an extension of operating hours to accommodate nighttime trade all contributed to the company’s success in 2023.
Pre-tax earnings increased 21% to £188.3 million on an approximately 20% increase in overall sales.
A portion of the expansion can be ascribed to the impact of the 145 net new store openings during the course of the year.
According to Greggs, it intends to open 140–160 stores in 2024.
