LAHORE: On Friday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declared that the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) player draft would be held in the port city of Gwadar, which is in Balochistan.
The cricket governing body said in a statement that “the ceremony that kicks off the league’s festivities will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025.”
The selection of Gwadar was decided with the intention of promoting cricket as a professional sport to the future generation and capturing the popularity of the sport in that region of the province.
“Gwadar, with its stunning coastline and strategic importance, represents the heart of Pakistan’s economic future,” stated PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
