Prince Harry was aided in becoming an aviation icon and having his name inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame by John Travolta, the well-known actor and friend of Princess Diana.
Living Legends of Aviation acknowledge that because of his “military service” and believable international work, “humbled” Harry was chosen.
Because of his friendship with Diana, Travolta has always had a “strong emotional link and connection” with Harry. The special media gala will be hosted by the actor as well.
During his early twenties, Prince Harry served in the British army and only talked about his flying exploits.
Lord Alan West of the Royal Navy responds, “He is not a living legend of aviation.” It is pitiful to imply he is. If they are willing to pick, it seems like a bit of a ridiculous idea overall.
Harry’s “bravery” is praised by retired military Colonel Richard Kemp, but he also points out that “helicopter pilots who have done considerably more spectacular things in Iraq and Afghanistan, risking their lives to save their fellow soldiers” are deserving of greater recognition.”
