At the conclusion of this year’s Six Nations, Peter O’Mahony, Cian Healy, and Conor Murray of Ireland will all retire from rugby.
Ireland’s most-capped player, Healy, and former captain O’Mahony will both retire from rugby at the end of the current campaign, according to the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). Murray, meanwhile, plans to “pursue a playing opportunity abroad” after his Munster contract expires this summer.
All three players have more than 100 caps for Ireland and have won the Six Nations five times and the Grand Slam twice.
By assisting Ireland in defeating France and Italy in their final two games, O’Mahony, Healy, and Murray will look to capture a sixth Six Nations championship and third Grand Slam.
