On Thursday, there were significant train delays in Lahore due to heavy rain that affected travel plans. Several important train services have experienced major delays as a result of the disruption:
- There was a three-hour and twenty-five-minute delay on the Karakoram Express from Karachi.
- There were 45-minute delays on the Tezgam and Karachi Express trains.
The Green Line Express experienced a 50-minute delay.
- There was an hour and thirty-minute delay for the Allama Iqbal Express.
- It took the Jafar Express one hour and fifteen minutes to arrive at Lahore.
Travelers and rail operations have been severely disrupted by the unfavorable weather. The issue is being managed by the authorities in an effort to prevent more delays. It is recommended that travelers review the most recent train schedules and adjust their travel plans accordingly. These delays occur as a result of Lahore’s record-breaking 44-year rainfall, which inundated prominent routes that lead to rivers and streams. Sadly, two roof collapse accidents resulted in the death of a girl and the injuries of five others. The constant rain caused LESCO feeders to trip as well. Closing offices and schools prevented the torrential rains from causing damage.
