PESHAWAR: According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the province has been severely affected by torrential rainfall over the past four days, resulting in at least 21 fatalities from various accidents.
The official agency reported that thirty-two persons were injured and that nine women and three children were among the dead.
In addition, rain-related roof and wall collapses totaling up to 330 events were reported in different districts around the province, resulting in the destruction of 53 dwellings and partial damage to another 277.
The PDMA released additional details about the relief efforts, stating that each of the affected individuals has received 100 kitchen sets and mats in addition to 200 tents, blankets, mattresses, and mosquito nets.
This development coincides with heavy rainfall in some regions of the nation in recent days.
The administration of Balochistan declared a rain and flood emergency on Monday in response to the persistently heavy rains that devastated the province’s several areas, leaving numerous people dead or injured.
The following locations saw a lot of rain: Kohlu, Musa Khel, Zhob, Sherani, Mastung, and Nushki.
