Henry Cavill, the actor who played The Witcher, was given a mystery role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he reportedly accepted the offer.
Henry Cavill, who first appeared in the DC world as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013, was later dropped from the franchise in 2022.
The actor also left The Witcher series with the false promise of returning to the screen as Superman.
However, just as he was leaving his superhero days behind, Marvel approached him with an offer he couldn’t refuse.
Journalist Matt Reeves confirmed Henry Cavill’s joining Marvel on X (Formerly Twitter), writing, “From the greatest superhero Superman, to our greatest Marvel villain Doctor Doom…Henry Cavill.”
