This weekend marks the final stop of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada, following 20 months, 149 performances, a successful concert movie, and millions of friendship bracelet exchanges.
The Eras Tour, which is less of a live performance and more of a cultural juggernaut, has dominated headlines, boosted national economies (and craft sales), caused mini-earthquakes, and broken numerous records. It is also the highest-grossing tour of all time, with experts predicting it will reach $2 billion (£1.6 billion) without including merchandise. Swift has recorded three albums since she began performing live in March 2023 (re-recordings of Speak Now and 1989, as well as The Tortured Poets Department), won her fourth Grammy for album of the year, becoming the first artist to do so.
