Star of HGTV Tarek El Moussa clarified that a 2016 incident in which he was approached by police in a helicopter along a woodland track after leaving his house following a fight with his then-wife Christina Hall was a mistake.
After getting into a heated argument with Hall, the “Flip or Flop” star decided to jump a fence in his backyard and take a walk on a trail in Chino Hills State Park behind their house as a way to clear his head. He wrote about this in his upcoming book, “Flip Your Life: How to Find Opportunity in Distress — in Real Estate, Business and Life,” according to People magazine.
He claimed to have a concealed carry permit and that the reason he brought his rifle was as a “insurance policy” against mountain lions.
Soon after, he believed there might be a wildfire after noticing a helicopter flying overhead. But then it was evident that they were supporting him.
HGTV Star Tarek El Moussa discusses her “massive struggle” with cancer, steroidal addiction, and divorce.
He writes in the book, “A policeman leaning out of the helicopter pointed a rifle at me.” “Dust swirled around me from the spin of the blades, and a loudspeaker crackled, ‘Get your hands in the air!'”
He claimed that when the officer yelled his name, he responded, “Yeah! That guy on TV is me! How are you guys getting on?”
After leaving, Hall apparently phoned 911 and spent the “next several hours I sat on a cooler on my driveway, handcuffed.”
