Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, may be in a coma, according to recent media reports, which raise questions about the country’s leadership.
Several sources claim that at a covert meeting, the 85-year-old leader proposed his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as his successor.
Khamenei’s office responded to these allegations by posting a picture of him meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, to show that he is still in office.
The photo was shared on Khamenei’s social media accounts after the Sunday meeting.
During their conversation, Ambassador Amani, who was hurt in a recent Hezbollah-related incident in Lebanon, gave Khamenei an update on his health.
