MARDAN: Ameer Haider Hoti, Senior Vice President of the Awami National Party (ANP), accepted his defeat in the general elections and resigned on Friday, citing the party’s poor performance in his constituency and other parts of the Mardan region.
In a post uploaded on his many social media platforms, Haider Hoti claimed responsibility for the party’s failure in all constituencies of his ancestral Mardan district in the 2024 general elections.
He expressed his heartbreak over the people in his constituency and Mardan’s lack of trust in him and his party. He stated that he was resigning from the party office as an act of accountability.
Haider Hoti indicated that he would remain an ordinary party member and continue to accompany Bacha Khan’s caravan. He thanked his followers and employees for their devotion and dedication.
