Scott Major is the organizer of the biggest competition in the world of Minecraft, the best-selling video game ever.
This weekend, the Championship will return, featuring some of the most well-known online personalities in the game from all around the globe.
The 28-year-old Scottish YouTuber claims that it started out as a tiny concept and that he was surprised when it grew to the extent that it did.
During the Covid lockdown, Scott’s event attracted a record number of viewers—more than 900,000 watched online.
Scott claimed that he was “batting away people with a stick” who wanted to participate, even though there was room for 40 contestants.
All of it started in 2019 when Scott, also known online as “dangthatsalongname,” had an idea for a different kind of Minecraft competition: one that was well-organized and not overly cutthroat.
