Iain Packer, 51, was convicted of killing Glasgow sex worker Emma Caldwell in 2005 and raping several other defenseless women as part of a 1999–2005 sexual depravity spree.
Over the course of the trial, which lasted more than a month at Glasgow’s High Court, it was revealed that Packer was a regular user of drug-addled sex workers and that he lured his victims to isolated forests 40 miles from the city’s red-light district.
