The three-part series, which centers on the events leading up to the historic News interview with Emily Maitlis, starred the Welsh actor as Prince Andrew, who wore a wig and prosthetic teeth.
“It helps with a character if you look very different when you play that character because of the act of taking that stuff off and de-rigging, as we call it,” Sheen stated.
“I have some teeth in a wig that I wear, but that’s all… I do my best to make the most of what I have.
The prince spoke openly to Maitlis about his acquaintance with sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein in the 2019 interview, which significantly damaged his reputation.
In the interview, Prince Andrew also vehemently denied having intercourse with Virginia Giuffre, who was 17 at the time.
The prince then officially ended a civil lawsuit filed against him in the US by giving Ms. Giuffre a monetary settlement.
Liability was not acknowledged in the out-of-court settlement, and the prince has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
