The yearly Eta Aquariid meteor shower is expected to be visible over the weekend, weather allowing, peaking on Sunday night into Monday morning.
Where to view the program
If you gaze east before sunrise, you should be able to see the meteors low in the sky. Though you may still see them in the UK, they are easier to see in the southern hemisphere.
Of course, the weather can affect your stargazing. It’s quite tense this weekend.
According to the Office, “computer models are disagreeing” as to where in the UK the worst weather will occur.
According to their current cloud cover map, southern England will have the clearest nights.
