According to Hunter Schafer, she no longer wishes to portray transgender roles.
The 25-year-old performer, who gained notoriety for her transgender part in Euphoria, said in an interview with GQ that being called a “trans actress” was “ultimately demeaning to me and what I want to do.”
Numerous trans roles have been offered to me, but I simply don’t want to accept them. Hunter remarked, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“I am undeniably one of the most well-known transgender people in the media at the moment, and I do feel a sense of responsibility, and maybe a little bit of guilt, for not being more of a spokesperson,” she added.
