A guy in Hyderabad, Sindh, drove his niece and sister-in-law into a room by erecting a floor-to-ceiling wall outside their portion’s only door, hoping to starve them to death. This act represented a new low for humanity. The man was distraught about a property dispute.
The woman and her devar, or husband’s brother, had a long-standing ownership dispute that led to the event, according to the local police.
Enraged, the woman’s brother-in-law and his kids walled up the room, keeping her and her daughter inside, supposedly with the intention of starving them to death.
The woman said that the wall had even been stuccoed by her abusers.
The fatal incident happened in Hyderabad’s Latifabad No. 5, when the two women were imprisoned in their respective sections.
It was only after a worried neighbor informed them of the nasty incident—which had gone unreported by others—that a police party showed there.
After 28 hours of detention without food or water, law enforcement burst through the barricade and freed the two ladies, according to officials.
