Tragic instances of aerial firing that left numerous people dead, injured, and arrested marred the Independence Day celebrations in Hyderabad and Karachi.
In Karachi, the happy occasion took a dark turn when 70 people—including women, children, and a police officer—were hurt by random aerial gunfire in different parts of the city. Districts East and Central had the highest number of recorded incidents, whilst Districts South and Malir had lower numbers.
Three kids, five ladies, and a policeman were among the injured. One-year-old Bilal was killed in a very terrifying occurrence in North Karachi when twelve unintentional rounds were fired into a home. For medical attention, the injured were taken to adjacent hospitals in a hurry.
