Three conservative justices whom Trump appointed to the Supreme Court during his administration voted to overrule Roe v. Wade.
Before it was repealed in June 2022, the Roe v. Wade decision preserved the federal constitution’s right to an abortion for almost 50 years.
As a result of Roe v. Wade, abortion became illegal in 22 states or was only permitted earlier in pregnancy. Ten of these states even do not allow abortions in cases of rape or incest. These fourteen states forbid abortions almost entirely.
