Ford has no immediate plans to retire from acting, despite the fact that many individuals his age have already done so.
He told the outlet, “I really enjoy working, but I guess I should be sitting on my a–.”
Ford has created a number of memorable characters over his 60 years in the entertainment business, such as Indiana Jones from the renowned adventure franchise, which began with “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” in the first “Star Wars” trilogy, and Han Solo from the original “Star Wars” trilogy.
The chance to continue telling compelling stories is what keeps Ford returning. He told news that when deciding which roles to accept, “the quality of the writing”—such as that in “Shrinking”—is crucial to him.
“It’s the writing quality,” he clarified. “What genre it is is irrelevant. It makes no difference if it’s on TV or in a film. It’s the narrative, the character, the writing, and the emotional impact on the reader or on me. Either it’s a good opportunity or there are folks I feel like I want to work with.
