According to the military’s media wing, security officers in the Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed at least six terrorists on Friday during an intelligence-based operation.
The operation was carried out in response to reports of terrorist activity, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the statement, “six Khwarij were sent to hell as a result of their own troops effectively engaging the Khwarij location during the operation.”
It said that because the security forces are committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the nation, a sanitization operation was carried out to get rid of any further militants that might have been present.
In January 2025, the number of terror assaults in the nation increased dramatically, up 42% over the previous month.
