ISLAMABAD: According to the Islamabad High Court (IHC), if former First Lady Bushra Bibi does not show up for the trial court in the new Toshakhana case, the appropriate judge has the authority to cancel her bail.
As the court concluded the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) petition to have Bushra’s bail jewelry set case revoked, it stated that “the [relevant] trial court can rescind a suspect’s bail if he/she fails to appear after receiving bail from the high court.”
Bushra, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was accused by the FIA of abusing the court’s concession in its plea, which was heard by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the IHC.
