Due to the ongoing election campaigns, political tensions are rising. On Tuesday, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari launched a new attack on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, claiming that if he were to retake power, his “habitual revenge politics” would cause harm to the nation.
“Mian sahib is prone to seeking retribution. Speaking at a campaign rally in Chiniot, Punjab, Bilawal declared, “If he becomes the [country’s] prime minister for the fourth time, he would take revenge which no one can think of.”
His comments coincide with a rhetorical brawl between political parties, including PML-N and PPP, which were formerly partners, on how best to spread their various narratives in front of the polls on February 8.
