ISLAMABAD: Imaan Zainab Mazari, a human rights advocate and attorney, and her spouse got into a fight with traffic cops as they tried to take down the roadblocks erected for the visiting England team’s traffic protocol.
The last game of the English team’s three-match Test series in Pakistan will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
According to sources who spoke to Geo News, the incident happened in the morning while the teams were being driven to the stadium at Islamabad Zero Point Interchange.
The sources also said that Mazari’s husband beat up police officers, mistreated them, and threatened them with severe repercussions.
The couple allegedly broke the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for state guests, according to the Islamabad police.
