ISLAMABAD: According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, countries do not advance through International Monetary Fund (IMF) programs. He further emphasized that Pakistan already has the stability it needs.
He reaffirmed that the $1 billion IMF loan is borrowed money rather than Pakistan’s generated income while speaking at the Prime Minister Digital Youth Hub inauguration ceremony.
“I hope this is the last IMF program in the history of the country,” he said. “We must transform this debt-ridden existence into a life of dignity and honour through skill and hard work,” the premier stated.
In addition, PM Shehbaz promised to cut government spending while investing heavily in youth training, saying that “we will dedicate billions and even trillions for their future.”
