RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was given one last chance on Tuesday to select a lawyer to represent him and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the new Toshakhana case by an anti-corruption court.
In the meantime, the court postponed the case hearing to November 2 when the suspects could not be indicted, as anticipated.
The pair is accused of abusing their position of authority to obtain presents from the state.
Special Judge (Central) Shahrukh Arjumand heard the case at the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
On this occasion, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was represented by prosecutors Umair Majeed and Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi.
The court gave the imprisoned PTI founder permission to speak with his legal team and hire a lawyer after he requested time for this purpose.
