ISLAMABAD: According to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has canceled talks with the government since it has not set up a judicial panel in the allotted seven days.
Barrister Gohar told reporters outside the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi that he and the rest of the party’s legal team had met with Khan, who has been incarcerated for over a year, earlier in the day.
Khan bemoaned the delay during the meeting, stating that there was no justification for the negotiations to go on as the government had not taken any action to form a judicial panel.
“The founder of PTI has categorically announced that no further rounds of negotiations will take place,” Gohar stated. “The government has not yet followed through on its announcements.”
