Previous Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is incarcerated, has stated that his wife Bushra Bibi’s remark about the previous army chief and a “foreign country” was misconstrued.
According to a statement on his X account, Khan claimed that Bushra Bibi’s remarks were purposefully misrepresented in order to incite unnecessary controversy in his brotherly nation, Saudi Arabia. “She made no mention whatsoever of Saudi Arabia.”
His response follows Bibi’s claim in a video message on Thursday that Khan started receiving calls from former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa after Khan visited Medina barefoot in his capacity as prime minister.
Concerning Khan’s intentions, the former first lady claimed that Bajwa was told of efforts to undermine the Sharia system.
