RAWALPINDI: According to sources who spoke to news, imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has ordered firebrand leader Sher Afzal Marwat to be immediately expelled from the party for persistently breaking party rules.
The orders were given during a meeting between the PTI leaders and former Premier Khan at the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, where the GHQ attack case was being heard.
Omar Ayub Khan, Shibli Faraz, and Senator Ali Zafar are among the politicians that met with the PTI founder and voiced their displeasure with Marwat’s actions during last week’s public meeting in Swabi.
On February 8, the previous ruling party held a protest rally in Swabi against suspected election tampering. According to reports, Marwat was not permitted to take the stage, but he was still able to give a speech.
