RAWALPINDI: According to party attorney Faisal Chaudhry on Friday, imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has flatly denied media allegations that former first lady Bushra Bibi formally entered politics.
The statement followed media reports that said the former first lady called a meeting of the PTI leadership this evening and gave directives to the party’s leadership nationwide yesterday.
According to the sources, “Bushra Bibi did not take central leadership of the party into confidence in this regard.”
“Bushra Bibi conveyed the PTI founder’s message to the party leaders,” Advocate Faisal Chaudhry told reporters following his meeting with the party’s founder in Adiala Jail today.
The advocate explained, paraphrasing Khan, “She is neither joining politics nor will she in the future.”
