RAWALPINDI: Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has refused to make any deals, according to Aleema Khan, the sister of the former prime minister. She questioned “why he would enter any deal when he has already spent one and a half years” in prison.
Speaking to reporters outside Adiala jail on Monday, where her brother is detained, Aleema stated, “The PTI founder stated that his cases have been concluded and he was not striking a deal [with the government] over this issue.”
After being sentenced in Toshakhana case-I, one of the scores of cases filed against the former premier after his removal from office in April 2022, the 72-year-old cricket player-turned-politician has been incarcerated since August of last year.
